Punjab Government Cannot Conceal Its Failures by Targeting Media/ Nipun Sharma
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha /Nov.3
Punjab BJP district president Nipun Sharma has condemned the Punjab government for allegedly stopping vehicles belonging to media personnel, describing the move as a direct assault on the fourth pillar of democracy.Sharma said that the government’s attempt to suppress journalistic freedom reflects its growing insecurity over its administrative failures, which can no longer be hidden from the public eye. He asserted that people across Punjab have begun to recognize the stark contrast between the Aam Aadmi Party government’s promises and its actual performance, citing daily examples of mismanagement and unfulfilled commitments.Referring to what he termed AAP’s deceptive politics, Sharma said that the people of Delhi have already uncovered the truth behind the party’s false assurances, and the citizens of Punjab are now reaching the same realization. He further stated that the public is awaiting the next election to deliver a decisive verdict against a government that came to power through hollow rhetoric.According to Sharma, the media’s consistent exposure of the government’s wrongdoings has unsettled those in power, leading them to misuse authority in an effort to silence dissent. He added that any such attempt to intimidate or curb press freedom would not be tolerated, emphasizing that the truth cannot be suppressed indefinitely.
