A grand display of devotion, dedication, and social harmony unfolded at Jalandhar Railway Station on the auspicious occasion of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj's Guru Purb, as a special train carrying devotees departed for Varanasi, the saint's birthplace.The train was flagged off under the blessings of Dera Sachkhand Ballan head Sant Niranjan Das Ji Maharaj, ferrying the 'sangat' (devotees) to pay homage at Guru Ravidas Ji's janmsthan.Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Vijay Sampla was present on the occasion and received blessings from Sant Niranjan Das Ji Maharaj. Addressing the gathering, Sampla said Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj's life and teachings impart messages of equality, brotherhood, and humanity to society. "His philosophy continues to inspire us to rise above caste and creed, fostering unity," he added.Sampla described the train journey not merely as a pilgrimage but as a symbol of social awakening and respect. He affirmed that the Central Government and BJP remain committed to promoting the teachings of saints and great men while upholding the dignity of Dalits, backward classes, and the underprivileged. Praising the arrangements by Dera Sachkhand Ballan, he noted that such events strengthen unity and harmony in society.A large number of devotees bid farewell to the train with resounding chants of "Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj Ki Jai." Concluding the event, Sampla extended Guru Purb greetings to all and prayed for their safe and successful journey.Prominent attendees included District BJP President Sushil Sharma, former MLA Sheetal Angural, senior BJP leader Manjeet Bali, former MLA Jagbir Brar, former Punjab Cabinet Minister Manoranjan Kalia, and former MLA KD Bhandari, along with numerous other BJP leaders and workers.
