The Doaba Sporting Club Kherra (Mahilpur), under the leadership of club president Iqbal Singh Kherra, is organising the 16th Doaba Cup Football Tournament at Kartar Singh Bains Memorial Stadium, Kherra.In today's matches, chief guest Jatinder Singh Lali Bajwa, urban president of Shiromani Akali Dal, interacted with the players and motivated them to play with discipline. The event was presided over by club president Iqbal Singh Kherra, Paramjit Singh Pamma Bahowal, former sarpanch Balwinder Singh Kherra, Baba Vinod Singh Sangha, Kashmir Singh Punnia, Jagmohan Singh Jaggi Haveli, Principal Mandeep Kaur, Sukhwinder Singh Gill, Harpreet Singh Bains, Harpreet Singh Rinku Bedi, Gajan Singh Bains, Engineer Tarlokhan Singh Sandhu, Bandana Singh, Davinder Singh Bahowal, Sandeep Sharma, and numberdar Gurminder Kumar Bali.In the club category's inaugural match, JCT Phagwara defeated Principal Harbhajan Singh Football Club Mahilpur 4-3 via penalty shootout. Namdhari Football Club Bhaini Sahib also advanced to the semifinals with a 2-0 win over Dalvir Football Academy Patiala.
