Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur, Dr. Balveer Kumar, carried out a surprise inspection of the Aam Aadmi Clinics located in Ajnoha and Phuglana to review the quality of medical services being rendered to residents.During the inspection, Dr. Kumar examined the clinics’ functioning in detail, including patient records, medicine inventory, and the overall state of cleanliness. He also verified staff attendance and instructed all employees to maintain punctuality, perform their duties with sincerity, and treat patients with courtesy.The Civil Surgeon reviewed the pharmacy sections of both clinics and directed that essential medicines must remain available at all times to avoid inconvenience to patients. He also interacted with those seeking medical care and obtained their feedback regarding the services provided.Dr. Kumar advised the public to remain aware of various free healthcare schemes launched by the government and the availability of free medicines under these programmes.He further instructed medical and support staff to strictly comply with biomedical waste management protocols, cautioning that any laxity in this matter would not be tolerated.Emphasizing the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare to every citizen, Dr. Kumar stated that Aam Aadmi Clinics aim to extend accessible and efficient medical facilities to common people, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. He urged all employees to display compassion while dealing with patients and to fulfill their responsibilities, especially during emergency situations.The Civil Surgeon added that regular inspections of all Aam Aadmi Clinics across the district will continue to ensure that residents receive the full benefit of government healthcare services.
