 Anti-Drug Awareness Program Organized at Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab.

Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab organized an impactful Anti-Drug Awareness Program on campus, under the initiative of the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit. The event aimed to sensitize students and faculty about the growing menace of drug abuse and the collective responsibility of society to combat it.

Sh. Baltej Singh Pannu, Chief Spokesperson of the Government of Punjab for the Anti-Drug Awareness Program, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The program commenced with the lighting of the sacred lamp, symbolizing the beginning of a purposeful and enlightening initiative.

In his address, Sh. Baltej Singh Pannu emphasized the crucial role of teachers as nation builders, highlighting their responsibility in guiding youth away from the perils of drugs. He stated, "Education is the key to empowerment, and it requires patience and dedication. Daughters are the pride of every family, and they should be nurtured and educated with utmost care as they bear the responsibility of two families." He also drew an inspiring analogy, saying that "we should adopt the punctuality of birds in our daily lives." Urging the youth to leverage technology and social media for positive change, he encouraged students to become active participants in eradicating drug abuse.

The event was also addressed by S. Gurdial Singh Buttar, President of the Private Nursing Colleges Association, Punjab, who shared his valuable insights and support for the cause.

Prof. Bhagwant Singh Satyal, Registrar of the university, introduced the audience to the vision and initiatives of Lamrin Tech Skills University, particularly its commitment to fighting drug abuse.

In his remarks, Sh. N.S. Rayat, Chancellor of Lamrin Tech Skills University, reiterated the university’s alignment with the Punjab Government's Anti-Drug Campaign, assuring full cooperation and enthusiastic support for future initiatives.

The event was meticulously organized under the supervision of Prof. Ratan Kaur, Assistant Director, Youth Services, LTSU Punjab. Key university leaders including Dr. Navneet Chopra (Dean Academics), Dr. Dhami (Executive Dean, Engineering), Vimal Manhotra ( Chief Finance Officer) Dr. Ashutosh Sharma (Executive Dean, Management), Prof. Narinder Bhumbla (PRO), and Gurpreet Saini (Manager IT), along with other senior functionaries and students, actively participated in the program.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Engg. M.S. Atwal, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, organizers, and attendees for their support and presence.
