 Under-19 Women Inter District Cricket Tournament organized by Punjab Cricket Association, Hoshiarpur defeated District Ropar team by 7 wickets and earned second consecutive victory. Giving information in this regard, HDCA Secretary Dr. Raman Ghai said that Ropar team won the toss and decided to bat first in this match of 50-50 overs and Ropar scored 222 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. In which Simarpreet contributed 92 runs and Chahalpreet Kaur contributed 57 runs. Bowling brilliantly for Hoshiarpur, Captain Surabhi took 2 wickets for 20 runs, Dhruvika Seth took 2 wickets for 42 runs and Annaya Thakur dismissed 1 player of Ropar. Hoshiarpur team, batting with a target of 223 runs to win in 50 overs, won the match by 7 wickets by scoring 226 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 42.4 overs, thanks to Captain Surabhi's brilliant 90 runs and Vice-Captain Suhana's 61 runs. From Hoshiarpur's side, Vanshika contributed 14 runs and Sanjana contributed 13 runs to her team. HDCA Secretary Dr. Raman Ghai expressed happiness on this big victory of Hoshiarpur and said that this is a big victory for the team and this will further boost the team's morale in the upcoming matches.
