Municipal Corporation Commissioner Komal Mittal said that the government has given a golden opportunity to the general public that the persons who have not yet deposited the house tax and property tax due till March 31, 2023, if they pay this tax in lump sum till December 31, 2023. they will be exempted from payment of penalty and interest on it. Apart from this, if the property tax due for the current year is deposited in one lump sum by 30 September 2023, then a discount of 10 percent will be given in this tax due.
She said that after 31st December 2023 to 31st March 2024, taxpayers who deposit house tax and property tax in lump sum will be given 50 percent discount in interest and penalty and tax recovery from defaulters including penalties and Interest will be charged.
She appealed to the general public to make maximum use of this golden discount given by the government.
