 Civil Surgeon inspects CHC Hajipur, SDH Dasuya

Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr Balbir Kumar today visited the Community Health Centre (CHC) Hajipur and Sub-Divisional Hospital (SDH) Dasuya to assess health services on the spot. The main objective of the visit was to ensure the quality of services provided to patients at these institutions and review available facilities. PA Satpal accompanied him during the tour.At CHC Hajipur, Dr Balbir Kumar checked staff attendance. With the assistance of Senior Medical Officer Dr Ravinder Kaur, he inspected OPD services, maternal and child health facilities, vaccination, lab services, and medicine availability. He also gathered feedback from patients on health services. The Civil Surgeon issued necessary directions to ensure cleanliness, safe drinking water availability, and regular maintenance of medical equipment.Thereafter, the Civil Surgeon visited SDH Dasuya. Here, with the help of Senior Medical Officer Dr Manmohan Singh, he inspected OPD, emergency services, pharmacy, and medicine store. He conducted a detailed review of medicine availability, distribution system, and timely delivery to patients. Services provided to patients admitted in the emergency ward, record-keeping, and the work of medical and para-medical staff were also examined.Dr Balbir Kumar directed special attention to hospital cleanliness and proper disposal of bio-medical waste. He emphasized improving seating arrangements for patients, drinking water, and other basic facilities.After inspecting both health institutions, the Civil Surgeon interacted with the staff, motivating them to be sensitive, cooperative, and timely in serving patients. He stated that every patient arriving in emergencies must be treated with utmost seriousness to avoid any inconvenience.Stressing the point, Civil Surgeon Dr Balbir Kumar said the health department's primary goal is to provide quality, safe, and reliable health services to the general public, in which every employee's role is extremely important.
