The Sports Club Ajnoha organized the annual Piara Singh and Kaka Manmohan Singh Memorial Football Tournament in Ajnoha village, Hoshiarpur district, with support from local residents, the gram panchayat, Non-Resident Indians, and area residents.Club president Inderjit Singh and Harkirat Singh Gorkha jointly announced that chief guests Rajinder Singh Parmar and Raminder Singh Parmar (Australia) inaugurated the event. The tournament featured 16 teams from sub-village levels, 32 open village-level teams, and 16 under-17 teams.In the under-17 category, Ajnoha's team emerged victorious. In the village-level open category, Rihana Jattan defeated Panjod to claim the final trophy. Among all open club teams, Parmar Club Australia Paldi beat CRPF Jalandhar to win the final match. In the under-17 final, Ajnoha defeated Khalwada 2-1 to lift the trophy.On the final day, chief guests Hala MLA Dr. Ishak Kumar Chabbewal and senior AAP leader Deepak Bali presented cash prizes and mementos to the winning teams. The open football tournament offered a first prize of ₹1.5 lakh and second prize of ₹1 lakh, along with trophies. Village sub-division winners received ₹51,000 for first place and ₹41,000 for second, plus trophies. Under-17 prizes were ₹31,000 for first and ₹25,000 for second, with trophies.The event saw the presence of club president Inderjit Singh, vice-president Satvinder Singh, Surinder Pal Singh, Kuldeep Singh JE Ajnoha, Master Harbhajan Singh, Dr. Jasvir Singh Parmar, Hari Singh Jaswal Bham, Daljit Ajnoha (technical director, Doordarshan Jalandhar), sarpanch Rajwinder Kaur, panch Jas Karan Singh, Sukhwinder Singh Barfi, Jagdeep Singh Joli, Kuldeep Singh Baddhan, Gurpreet Singh, panch Satnam Singh, Nirankar Singh (former sarpanch), Harkirat Singh Gorkha, Arshdeep Singh, Amrit Prit Singh, Ranjodh Singh, Talwinder Singh Talu, Inderjit Singh, Amarjit Singh Lucky, Sunny Rihal, Mahinder Singh, Mohan Singh, and a large number of sports enthusiasts.
