At Shri Siddheshwar Shiv Temple, located near Bassi Ghulam Hussain, a Bhoomi Pujan was performed for the construction of Yajna Kunds and a grand Yajna Mandap, under the spiritual guidance of Swami Mahant Udaygiri Ji, in preparation for the Rudra Mahayajna to be held from February 19 to February 25, 2026, involving 1,100 Havan Kunds.

On this occasion, Swami Vishwanand Ji Saraswati, the chief Mahant of Shri Kalinath Kaleshwar Tirth Kshetra, Himachal, delivered a divine message to the devotees. He said that participating in such a massive 1,100-Kund Rudra Mahayajna is extremely rare and is possible only through the accumulation of great virtues. He mentioned that a similar Yajna was organized in 1925 at Kaleshwar by his revered grand-guru, Swami Bodhanand Ji.

Swami Vishwanand Ji further said that this rare Yajna has become possible due to the strong determination of Swami Udaygiri Ji, whose aim is universal welfare and world peace. Quoting the Vedas, he said that the gods receive their offerings through Havan, and participation in such sacred rituals leads to the attainment of virtue and the destruction of sins.

MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa, along with Swami Udaygiri Ji and other devotees, hoisted the religious flag on this occasion. He said that Swami Udaygiri Ji, following the instructions of his late Guru Shri Mahant Basantgiri Ji, has been organizing such spiritual programs with the noble aim of promoting universal welfare and world peace. He added that Swami Udaygiri Ji is a living embodiment of simplicity and spirituality, and he urged all devotees to participate enthusiastically in this great Mahayajna.

Former MP Avinash Rai Khanna took a vow for the successful completion of the Yajna after performing the Bhoomi Pujan and said that he would devote his time, body, mind, and wealth to the event until its completion. He appealed to everyone for cooperation.

Mayor Surinder Chhinda mentioned that he has been associated with Shri Siddheshwar Shiv Temple since the time of the late Swami Basantgiri Ji Maharaj, and assured his full support for this pious work. He added that performing Havan purifies the environment and spreads positivity.

From abroad, Ravi Sharma, President of BRV Charitable School, Fadma (USA), and Rana Ahluwalia from Canada also extended their best wishes and promised full support.
