 Rayat Bahra Professional University Organizes Awareness Seminar on “Law for Change”

The University School of Law at Rayat Bahra Professional University organized an awareness seminar on “Law for Change: Legal Empowerment Against Drugs, Violence and Exploitation.” The seminar was presided over by Dean Dr. R. N. Singh, who explained that its purpose was to educate students about the role of law in combating social evils such as drug abuse, violence, and exploitation.

The keynote speaker, Ms. Harjeet Kaur, Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee, Hoshiarpur, provided detailed insights into the NDPS Act and other laws related to substance abuse. She encouraged students to stay away from drugs and become responsible citizens.

Head of Department Dr. Priyanka Puri said that the seminar included lectures on the NDPS Act, motivational talks, and interactive question-and-answer sessions with students. Participants gained practical knowledge about laws related to drugs, which inspired them to lead disciplined and positive lives and understand the role of law in social reform.

The seminar was coordinated by Prof. Alka Rani and Prof. Rahul Madhara. All students and faculty members of the Law Department attended the event.
