Panjab University Extends Admission Deadline to October 30

— Panjab University, Chandigarh, has announced an extension of the admission deadline for various courses under the 2025–26 academic session until October 30. The extension aims to accommodate students who, for various reasons, were unable to secure admission within the earlier stipulated period. Admissions during this extended window will be accepted with the prescribed late fee.Welcoming the university’s decision, Dr. Parvinder Singh, Principal of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur, described it as a significant relief for students aspiring to pursue higher education. He noted that the college has witnessed encouraging enthusiasm among students seeking admission in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.Dr. Singh further said that dedicated admission and counselling cells established by the college—both on campus and across adjoining villages and towns—have been actively assisting students in choosing courses aligned with their career interests. He also informed that from this session onwards, Panjab University has granted affiliation to two newly introduced three-year degree programmes: B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology and Bachelor in Physical Education and Sports. Limited seats in these courses remain open for eligible applicants.The principal urged students who have not yet enrolled to avail themselves of this opportunity by completing the admission process before October 30. He stressed that timely enrollment will allow students to appear in the upcoming first-semester examinations and participate in regular academic schedules without disruption.
