Special Search Operation Conducted in Mahilpur Under "War Against Drugs" Campaign

Under the Punjab Government’s ongoing “War Against Drugs” campaign, a special search operation was carried out in the town of Mahilpur in Hoshiarpur district, following the directives of DGP Gaurav Yadav. The operation was led by DSP Jagir Singh, DSP Garhshankar Jaspreet Singh, and SHO Parvinderpal Jeet Singh.
During the operation, various police teams conducted thorough checks in areas including BDPO Colony, Langeri Road, and other parts of the town. The officers reported that 25 suspicious individuals were rounded up for questioning, after which they were released. Additionally, two motorcycles linked to drug peddlers were seized.
The leading officers stated that the government is taking a strict stance against drug trafficking. If any person is found involved in the drug trade, legal action will be taken against them. Moreover, if any property is found to have been acquired through drug money, it will also be confiscated.
They appealed to the public to report any drug-related activities to the police, assuring that the identity of informants would be kept confidential. They emphasized that public cooperation is crucial in the success of the “War Against Drugs” campaign and that it is the responsibility of every citizen to support the police in making Punjab a drug-free state.
