Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal held a meeting with the officials of various departments regarding the smooth arrangements of Hoshiarpur Cyclothon Junior at the District Administrative Complex and apprised them of the responsibility to be performed by them. She said that from October 1, 2023, Sachdeva Stocks Hoshiarpur Cyclothon Junior is being organized by the Fit Bikers Club with the support of the district administration.

The Deputy Commissioner said that about 3 thousand students of Hoshiarpur will participate in this cyclothon organized on the theme of 'Plastic Free Hoshiarpur'. She instructed DSP Traffic Ravinder Singh that all necessary action should be taken in advance regarding traffic diversion regarding the route of Cyclothon from October 1. Apart from this, she directed the health department officials to arrange health services and ambulance on the day of the cyclothon. She also instructed the Municipal Corporation to make arrangements for cleaning and mobile toilets.

Paramjit Singh Sachdeva, president of Fit Bikers Club, while giving information, said that two categories have been created in the event to be held on October 1 at Lajwanti Stadium. He said that in one category there are children in the age group below 10 years and in the other category there are students in the age group above this. He said that this event will be 4 km cycling for children below 10 years of age and 15 km cycling for students above that age. He said that all the participants will be given refreshments, T-shirts, certificates and medals by Fit Bikers Club. On this occasion, DSP Traffic Ravinder Singh, District Development Fellow Joya Saddiki, Assistant Public Relations Officer Lokesh Kumar, District Sports Officer Gurpreet Singh, Deputy District Education Officer Sukhwinder Singh, Dr. Salesh, Secretary Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur Jaswinder Singh, Munir Nazar, Uttam Sabi were also present.
