 Review meeting of dental health officers held

A monthly meeting of Medical Officers (Dental) was held under the directions of Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur, Dr. Balvir Kumar, and chaired by District Dental Health Officer Dr. Kapil Dogra.During the meeting, Dr. Dogra reviewed the monthly progress reports of the attending medical officers. He emphasised that the Dental Health Programme is a vital initiative under which treatment is provided to people of all age groups. He instructed that elderly patients should be prioritised for check-ups.Dr. Dogra also stressed the need to organise awareness camps periodically to educate students and the general public on proper teeth cleaning, correct brushing techniques, and dental care. People should be encouraged to get their teeth checked every six months, he added. He advised informing the public to seek dental check-ups and treatment only from government hospitals or qualified specialists, and to avoid quacks.Among those present were Dr. Navneet Kaur, Dr. Baljeet Kaur, Dr. Sanam, Dr. Lakshmi Kanta, along with dental medical officers from various blocks.
