 MLA Jimpa Hands Over Sanction Letters for Housing Scheme

*Relief worth Rs 6 crore granted to 251 beneficiaries under the housing scheme

MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa distributed sanction letters to 251 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 at a program held in the Municipal Corporation premises today. He informed that Rs 6.27 crore has been sanctioned by the government for the beneficiaries. Praising the visionary outlook and sensitive leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, he said that increasing the state's quota has ensured genuine benefits to needy families.MLA Jimpa emphasized that as a public representative, his priority is to ensure timely access of government schemes to eligible beneficiaries. He clarified that the purpose of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is to provide secure and dignified housing to the underprivileged sections of society. He appreciated the efforts being made by the Hoshiarpur Municipal Corporation in this regard. The scheme is aimed at assisting homeless people or those living in temporary structures to build permanent houses.Jimpa further added that government schemes succeed only when benefits reach the truly deserving. He vowed to work wholeheartedly to ensure that every eligible family in Hoshiarpur avails the advantages of these schemes.Mayor Surinder Kumar informed that the first installment of Rs 2.51 crore has already been credited to the municipal corporation account by the government. The corporation will release funds to beneficiaries’ accounts on a phased basis after completing construction work at their homes.The event was attended by Municipal Commissioner Jyoti Bala Mattu, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary, Joint Commissioner Sandeep, Assistant Commissioner Ajay Kumar, SE Satish Saini, MTP Lakhvir Singh, XEN Kuldeep Singh, Harpreet Singh, councilors Jasvinder Kala, Gurpreet Kaur, Manjeet Kaur, Paramjit Kaur, Mukesh Mall, Jatinder Kaur, Meena Kumari and other dignitaries.
