Free Cardiac Screening Camp Organized at BBMB Hospital

A free medical camp for the screening of heart diseases was organized today at BBMB Hospital, Talwara, through the initiative of the Bhakra Beas Management Board, Talwara, in collaboration with Care Best Hospital, Jalandhar. The camp was formally inaugurated by the Chief Engineer of BBMB Talwara, Mr. Rakesh Gupta.
Renowned cardiologist from Punjab, Dr. Raman Chawla of Care Best Hospital, Jalandhar, specially visited the camp to provide his expert services. While welcoming Dr. Chawla, Chief Engineer Mr. Rakesh Gupta highlighted that such health camps play a vital role in early diagnosis of diseases and also help in spreading awareness among the public. He further stated that BBMB actively contributes to various social welfare initiatives. His wife, Mrs. Seema Gupta, was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Raman Chawla emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle to prevent heart ailments. He advised people to exercise regularly, reduce stress, and adopt a positive outlook for better health. He encouraged everyone to follow the mantra: “Stay happy, stay active.”
Earlier, on their arrival at the hospital, Principal Medical Officer Dr. Surinder Pal Singh welcomed Chief Engineer Mr. Rakesh Gupta and Dr. Raman Chawla. The stage was conducted by Dr. Amarjeet Singh in his uniquely engaging literary style.
Along with Dr. Raman Chawla, Dr. Isaan Bagga and the team from Care Best Hospital also rendered their services. From BBMB Hospital, Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Dr. Sobhna Soni, and other medical officers were present.
A large number of residents from Talwara and nearby areas attended the camp and availed the expert consultation. People appreciated BBMB’s efforts and praised this public welfare initiative.
