***Rooted in His Homeland Despite Living Abroad*

Hailing from the village of Damunda in Jalandhar district, NRI Jatinder J. Minhas has been relentlessly engaged in community service for nearly four decades. Guided by the blessings of Sant Baba Watan Singh Damunde Wale, Minhas has maintained a deep connection with his native land despite living overseas. Each year, during his visits to India, he actively participates in welfare initiatives aimed at helping the needy.

****Commitment to Education and Health**

With a strong belief in equal access to education and healthcare, Minhas works through the Lions Club in Adampur to organize free medical, eye check-up, and surgical camps for the underprivileged. He also lends assistance to financially weak families by contributing to wedding expenses. To encourage higher education, his initiatives at Sant Baba Bhag Singh University include scholarships, free books, and tuition fee concessions for talented students from economically weaker backgrounds.

***Promoting Rural Education***

The Minhas family has established two private schools dedicated to providing quality education at minimal fees. His relatives have also adopted several government schools, ensuring students receive necessary facilities. Whenever a needy individual approaches him, Minhas personally verifies their situation and ensures timely help is extended.Patriotic Spirit Beyond BordersEven while residing abroad, Jatinder Minhas maintains close ties with Indian philanthropists and social workers. ***Minhas shared that two Sikh soldiers from his native village, Damunda, had sacrificed their lives in the historic Battle of Saragarhi. Upon learning this from a book authored by Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Josan, founder of the Saragarhi Foundation, he undertook the construction of a memorial in their honour. In addition, he contributed to completing the entire sewerage system of the village.A Life Devoted to Social WelfareAccording to Minhas, whatever he has been able to accomplish has been possible through the blessings of Sant Baba Watan Singh and the continued support of both local and overseas devotees. He affirms that he will continue dedicating his time, energy, and resources to community service for as long as he lives.
