Former councillor Kulwinder Sangha has been unanimously elected as the President of Vikas Manch Garhshankar in a meeting chaired by Bibi Subhash Mattu, Chairperson of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Charitable Trust.Deepak Kumar and Kirpal Pala were appointed Vice Presidents, Rajinder Kumar as Convenor, Balwinder Kumar as Secretary, Nitish Kumar as Joint Secretary, Nirman Kumar as Treasurer, and Pawan Kumar as Media Advisor. Lekh Raj, Sumeet Soni, Honey, Hemraj, and Tarsem Lal were inducted as members.The meeting discussed development issues, with members accusing the Punjab Government of failing to act on its promise to construct the city bypass. The forum warned of launching an agitation if work on the project does not start soon.
