The Antim ardas and bhog ceremony of noted academic and literary figure Professor Minder Bagi was held in a solemn and respectful atmosphere at Gurdwara Tibba Sahib. Eminent personalities from religious, political, literary, and educational circles gathered to offer heartfelt tributes and floral respects to the departed scholar.

Professor Bagi was known as a rare blend of a sensitive writer and a dedicated teacher. He began his academic career in the Punjabi department at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, Anandpur Sahib, where he served with distinction for nearly 33 years. Students and colleagues remembered him as an inspiring mentor and a profound thinker whose guidance shaped generations of learners.

In the field of literature, Professor Bagi carved a distinct identity. His novel Jakhm Di Aatm Katha holds a special place in Punjabi literature. His poetry collections Gumbad Di Andarli Cheekh and Hazir Gair Hazir were widely appreciated for their emotional depth and creative excellence.

He is survived by his two sons, Gurpreet Singh Rinku and Manpreet Singh Monu, who are permanently settled in Canada. Speakers at the ceremony said Professor Minder Bagi’s literary and educational contributions will always be remembered, and that he will continue to live on through his writings and the lives he influenced.
