 The valedictory ceremony of the 7-day State Level Training Programme under the Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme (YAMS ) training program  concluded at Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU), Punjab,The training programme was sponsored by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India, and the Punjab State Disaster Management Authority, and organized by the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), Government of Punjab.

The final day began with an intensive practical session delivered by the Training Officers of MGSIPA. Trainees actively participated in hands-on demonstrations focusing on emergency response, rescue procedures, and disaster preparedness techniques. This practical exposure enabled students to gain confidence and understand the real-world application of disaster management skills.

 Dr. Sohnu, Assistant Professor & NSS Programme Officer, who delivered an insightful lecture on “Man-Made Disaster: Cyber Crime.” 

Post the academic sessions, volunteers showcased their talents in a cultural programme, followed by an interactive feedback session. Trainees expressed great satisfaction with both the theoretical insights and the field-based practical training received throughout the week.

The Valedictory Ceremony was graced by Dr. B.S. Satyal, Registrar, LTSU, as the Guest of Honour. He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Training Officers of MGSIPA and the NSS Coordinator of LTSU for ensuring smooth and effective training sessions and handed over the certificates to the participants.

S. Nirmal Singh Rayat, Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab, conveyed his blessings to all the trainees and applauded the collective efforts of trainers, coordinators, volunteers, and students for making the programme a grand success.

This 7-day YAMS Training Programme successfully empowered the trainees with essential knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to act efficiently during emergencies. The participants expressed deep gratitude to NDMA, SDMA Punjab, MGSIPA, and LTSU Punjab for providing this enriching and impactful learning experience.Prof. Rattan Kaur Asstt. Director Youth Sevices, Prof Narinder Bhumbla PRO of the university and NSS volunteers were present on the occasion.
