Tree Planation by Bahurang Kala Manch Hoshiarpur  was organized at Shri Guru Har Rai College for Women, Chabbewal

Today, under the "Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam" (One Tree in Mother's Name) campaign of My Bharat Hoshiarpur, a speech competition under the Chairmanship of Ramesh, Presiden,t Sat Sri Akal Doaba and a Program on Tree Planation by Bahurang Kala Manch Hoshiarpur  was organized at Shri Guru Har Rai College for Women, Chabbewal, in which Principal Dr. Manjeet Kaur, Film Director Ashok Puri, and representatives of the Forest Range Office were especially present. 

The "Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam"  speech competition was moderated by Prof. Mrs. Neelam Sharma. After welcoming the team of Forest Range Office and My Bharat Hoshiarpur, College Principal Dr. Manjeet Kaur thanked them for selecting  her college  to create awareness among children about tree plantation. In the speech competition, Harmanpreet Kaur, a student of B.A. fifth-semester secured the first position, while Manisha from the same class stood second. Harleen, a student of B.Com third-semester secured the third position. On this occasion, theatre artist Ashok Puri moved all the teachers and students with his open creation "Maa Bimar Hai" (Mother is Sick) on the theme "One Tree in Mother's Name".  Prof. Harinder Kaur and Prof. Mandeep Kaur imparted the role of judges for the speech competition. on this occasion Ramesh Kumar, President Sat Sri Akal Doaba, thanked the college staff and students and shared his thoughts. Following this, the students who secured the first, second, and third positions in the competition were honoured with trophies.

Subsequently, contributing to the campaign being run by Bahurang Kalamanch,  Bottlebrush, Tahli, Neem, and other trees were planted in the college courtyard. After this, Principal Dr. Manjeet Kaur was honoured by Bahurang Kalamanch Hoshiarpur by presenting a shawl.
