Raksha Bandhan Celebrated at Sunder Ashram Under the Leadership of Chairman Khanna
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/August 9
Avinash Rai Khanna, Chairman of the Lala Sunder Das Kapoor Charitable Trust for the Deaf and Mute, celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with the residents of the country’s first deaf-mute ashram, run by the trust.
On this occasion, Khanna said that deaf and mute individuals are highly emotional, and they too have the desire to live a normal life. However, due to natural limitations, they are often unable to express their feelings openly. Therefore, it is our duty to share the joy of every festival with them and make them feel a sense of belonging.
Along with Khanna, other trust officials including President Gopi Chand Kapoor, S.P. Diwan, and Anand Agarwal also celebrated Raksha Bandhan by applying tilak to the deaf and mute residents and offering them sweets.
