 NSS Unit of Rayat College of Law organised Drug Abuse Awareness rally.

The NSS Unit of Rayat College of Law successfully organized a Poster Making Competition and a Drug Abuse Awareness Rally on the theme “Healthy Youth, Drug-Free Nation” . A total of twelve students enthusiastically participated in the Poster Making Competition, showcasing their creativity and awareness on the issue of drug abuse. The posters were evaluated by a panel of judges comprising Dr. Mahender Singh (Vice Principal), Dr. Mamtaz Zabeen Khan (Assistant Professor),. After careful assessment, the results were declared, with Eknoorpreet Kaur securing the first position, Sakshi Dhawan and Yeshasvi jointly winning the second position, and Babaljit and Gurjot Kaur jointly winning the third position.

Following the competition, all NSS volunteers actively participated in a Drug Abuse Awareness Rally in the adopted village Railmajra to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction. The rally also witnessed the participation of the NSS Unit of LTSU, led by Ms. Ratan Kaur, along with eight NSS volunteers. At the conclusion of the rally, the LTSU NSS Unit organized a tribute to commemorate Shaheed Udham Singh’s Martyrdom Day, in which all NSS volunteers of Rayat College of Law also took part to pay homage to the great freedom fighter.

The entire event was meticulously organized under the leadership of Dr. Sohnu, Programme Officer of the NSS Unit, with the active support of his team members Mr. Ajitabh Mishra, Ms. Nitika Soni and Ms. Disha Khullar. The efforts of the NSS Unit were highly appreciated by Dr. Monika Sharma, Principal of Rayat College of Law, who commended the initiative taken by Dr. Sohnu and his team for successfully conducting activities that promote social awareness, responsible citizenship and patriotic values among students.
