AAP rattled by BJP’s rising influence in Punjab – Sampla

For the past three years, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has been failing on every front of state politics. Now, alarmed by the growing presence of the BJP in Punjab, the party has stooped to dirty and vindictive politics. This was stated by senior BJP leader Vijay Sampla during a press conference at his residence.

Sampla said that the Aam Aadmi Party, already lagging behind on every issue in Punjab, has shown its political insecurity by launching a Vigilance raid on the residence of Ranjit Singh Gill, owner of Gilco Group. He pointed out that Ranjit Singh Gill has long been associated with politics and has contested elections twice from the Kharar Assembly constituency.

He further informed that just a day before the raid, Ranjit Singh Gill had joined the BJP and had clearly stated in his own press conference that he was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s style of governance. Sampla questioned the timing of the raid and asked what compelled the Aam Aadmi Party to take such action immediately after Gill joined the BJP.

Warning the Aam Aadmi Party, Sampla said that the Punjab BJP stands firmly with Ranjit Singh Gill and will support him at every step. Attacking the AAP government, he said that the party has become desperate seeing the BJP’s increasing influence in the state and is now taking revengeful actions out of frustration.

He added that Arvind Kejriwal, who suffered a major defeat in Delhi, is now trying to manipulate politics in Punjab the same way, pushing the state towards ruin. However, the people of Punjab will give a strong reply in the 2027 elections, and the BJP will form a full majority government in the state.

Present on the occasion were Bharat Bhushan Verma, Shivam Ohri (President, District BJP Yuva Morcha), and other party workers.
