 MLA brings all Saints under one roof to take War on Drugs on another level

- A unique initiative of Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank under the “War on Drugs” campaign

- Prayed for the success of the war against drugs with the blessings of the entire Sant Samaj

- Requested the saints to join campaign against drugs

As the Punjab government is trying to curb drug menace by taking various initiatives in the war against drugs across Punjab under the orders and instructions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, today under this campaign, the Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar made a unique effort and requested the most influential part of the society, the entire Sant Samaj, to offer prayers to Almighty to free Punjab from the clutches of this drug menace and to make efforts to bring our misguided youth out of it. Along with this, he also requested the entire Sant Samaj to join this war against drugs campaign. 

Today, Sukhmani Sahib Path was organized and prayers were offered at Gurdwara Bana Sahib, Bahowal, in which hundreds of saints, devotees and sarpanches were present. On this occasion, Sant Baba Nagar Singh, Sant Baba Harmeet Singh, Sant Baba Jagtar Singh, Sant Balraj Singh Jian, Sant Baba Sukha Singh Peer Bala Sahib, Sant Baba Amarjit Singh Harkhowal, Sant Karamjit Singh Tibba Sahib, Sant Mahavir Singh Tajewal, Sant Pritam Singh Barian, Sant Harmanjit Singh Singriwala, Sant Balbir Singh Hariana, Sant Onkar Singh, Baba Jarnail Singh, Baba Ajit Singh Dihana, Sant Ranjit Singh Bahowal, Sant Pawan Ji Tajewal, Sant Rajesh Kumar Bajwara, Sant Hari Krishna Sodhi Thakkarwal, Sant Kashmira Singh, Sant Jagtar Singh Neki Wale, Sant Makhan Singh, Sant Balvir Singh Tuto Majara, Bhai Ravinder Singh Bihala, Sant Baba Gurdev Singh Bajwara, Maulvi Ji Jaijon, Sant Santokh Singh Bharta and Ajmer Singh Barian, Sant Darshan Singh Baddon and Satwant Singh Sian District Coordinator, Hardeep Singh Bahowal etc. were present.

Dr. Ishank said that our saints are the most influential part of our society because a large number of devotees try to take their lives on the right path by listening to their discourses and Bani. Therefore, the impact that the thinking and guidance of this Saint Society can have on our youth and their families cannot be the same as that of anyone else. Therefore, I strongly appeal to them to fully support us in this war being fought against drugs and also pray to Almighty to get rid of this scourge of drugs.

On this occasion, Member of Parliament from Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal specially attended this event and paid his respects to the saints. On this occasion, Dr. Raj appreciated Dr. Ishank for this unique initiative and also welcomed and thanked all the Saints and people for joining this initiative. He said that Dr. Ishank Kumar himself is a youngster and he is well aware of the thinking of the youth of Punjab and can motivate them effectively. Therefore, I am sure that under his guidance, his dream of making Chabbewal constituency drug-free will soon be fulfilled.
