 146 Units of Blood Donated at Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Organized by Voice of the People and Blood Donors Club

Prominent personalities from the region attended in large numbers

A voluntary blood donation camp was organized at the premises of Sheetla Mandir in Adda Jhungian, , by Voice of the People and the Blood Donors Club Area Beas (Punjab & Himachal). The camp was held under the leadership of Ajaib Singh Boparai, Convener of Voice of the People, and Co-convener Rakesh Prajapati, with the cooperation of the Blood Donors Club. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the youth of the region, with a total of 146 donors voluntarily donating blood.

During the camp, a team from PGI Chandigarh, led by Dr. Ekta, collected the donated blood. Speaking on the occasion, Ajaib Singh Boparai, Rakesh Prajapati, and SDO Satvinder Singh expressed their gratitude to all donors and supporters. They emphasized that due to the increasing number of patients at PGI Chandigarh, there is a significant shortage of blood. In response, this initiative is a humble effort to address the need, and they added that it is everyone’s collective responsibility to make such initiatives successful.

Donors and supporters were also honored for their contributions during the event. Among the special guests present were former Congress MLA Love Kumar Goldy, BJP constituency in-charge Nimisha Mehta, Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, former Chairman of Municipal Council Garhshankar Rajinder Singh Shuka, Comrade Darshan Singh Mattu, Gurnek Singh Bhajjal, Mahinder Singh Vaddoan, Dr. Naresh Kambala, former Sarpanch Sarwan Kisana, Sarpanch Balwinder Singh Boparai, C.R. Sonu Kot, Yash Barapur, Yashpal Bhathal, Balbir Singh Mega Nambardar, Varinder Pratap Singh, Sandeep Rana Kalewal, Ajay Dallewal, Kamal Kataria (former Youth Congress President), Jathedar Jagdev Singh, Ashwani Rana, former Sarpanch Subhash Sharma, Pradeep Rangeela, Amrik Dayal, Bindu Bhoombla, Sarpanch Surinder Barapur, Parmjeet Pamma Nambardar, Jagjeet Singh Heer, Dr. Hem Raj, Vikas Soni, Jagdeep Rana, Sarpanch Sanjay Pipliwal, former Sarpanch Harjinder Singh, Chuhar Singh, Master Pawan Kumar, and Chaudhary Baijnath Nambardar, among others.

This blood donation camp proved to be a commendable initiative to raise awareness among the youth and to inspire them toward social service and community welfare.
