He said that under the Swasth Bharat Mission, people in Punjab will now receive surgeries that usually cost lakhs of rupees at minimal charges—just thousands. Garewal stated that it is painful to see people dying due to the lack of funds for medical treatment. That's why he has taken this humanitarian initiative.

Darshan Singh Garewal added that a team of top-class doctors is ready and the campaign will begin soon in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, Mohali, and Healing Hospital, Chandigarh.
He emphasized that the goal is to bring a healthcare revolution in Punjab. The mission aims for no one to suffer due to lack of treatment—this will be a game changer for the state.
Garewal also informed that through this campaign, surgeries like heart operations, joint replacements, and other major surgeries will be made accessible to the public at the lowest possible costs. Elderly people, widows, and children will be given special priority.
