Discussion Held on 28 Tree Protection Cases in Sub-Divisional Level Committee Meeting

A significant meeting of the Sub-Divisional Level Committee, Hoshiarpur, was held under the policy for the “Protection of Trees on Non-Forest Government and Public Lands.” The meeting was chaired by the Committee Chairperson and SDM Hoshiarpur, Gursimranjeet Kaur.
Several senior officials from the Forest Department were present, including Range Officer Hoshiarpur Jatinder Rana, Range Officer Kirandeep Singh, Range Officer Sanjeev Kumar, Range Officer Mahilpur Division Jaspal Singh, and Range Officer Dholbaha Jasbir Singh.
The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss 28 cases related to the assessment and survey of trees located in various villages. Each case was thoroughly examined, with detailed deliberation on the value, location, and environmental significance of the trees involved.
After careful consideration, appropriate decisions were made for each case. The committee emphasized that environmental balance and the importance of tree preservation would be given top priority while making any recommendations or approvals.
SDM Gursimranjeet Kaur directed all officials to ensure a transparent and timely execution of all proceedings, while staying committed to environmental conservation and sustainable development practices.
