An important meeting of Doaba Sporting Club Khera Mahilpur was held at Sardar Kartar Singh Bains Memorial Stadium Kherra Mahilpur under the Presidentship of club president  Iqbal Singh Khera, in which discussions were held regarding the annual club lavel and village level state level competition organized by the club with the cooperation of NRIs and football lovers of the region. On this occasion Nirmal Singh Bhilowal, Harpreet Singh Bains, Principal Jagmohan Singh Dadian, Nambardar Jaskamal Singh Dhada Kalan, Amarjit Singh Raja Jangliwal,  Jasvir Singh Bhatti Nadalon, Jagmohan Singh Jaggi Haveli, Paramjit Singh Pamma Bahowal, Balwinder Singh former Sarpanch Khera, Gajjan Singh Bains Canada, Kulwinder Singh Nambardar, Lakkha Singh Paldi, Tarlochan Singh Sakruli, Lakhvir Singh Danciwal, Kuldeep Singh Nangal Kalan, Inderjit Singh Gondpur, Karamjit Singh Bains, Kamal Bains, Harjeet Singh Panch, Jarnail Singh Khalsa Nadalon, Lakhwinder Singh Nadalon, Boota Singh Kot, Principal Sukhinder Singh Badon, Coach Gurdeep Singh Thappa, Coach Bandhana Singh, Baljinder Singh Bains, Baljinder Singh Panjur etc. participated. During the discussion in the meeting, consensus was reached on organizing Doaba Cup from January 20 to January 28. It was considered to have 12 teams in the club category and 16 teams in the rural category in the tournament.
