Hoshiarpur MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa laid the foundation stone for an interlock road in the Central Town area, to be constructed at a cost of around ₹30 lakh. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that the road will run from Shiv Mandir through the heart of Central Town, providing residents with better and safer connectivity.Informing further, MLA Jimpa said that drinking water issues in Central Town have already been addressed through tube well-based water supply connections. Strengthening basic amenities like road construction and water supply will significantly improve the quality of life for local people. He emphasized that quality and transparency remain his top priorities in development works.In his address, MLA Jimpa highlighted that over ₹100 crore worth of development projects have been executed by the Hoshiarpur Municipal Corporation during his tenure. These include focused efforts on roads, drains, street lights, and drinking water projects across various parts of the city. He added that more than 43 new water tube wells have been installed so far, bolstering the city's water supply system.Directing concerned officials, MLA Jimpa instructed them to complete the interlock road construction within the stipulated timeline and to the highest quality standards, ensuring long-term benefits for the public.The event was attended by Hoshiarpur Mayor Surinder Kumar Kumar, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, councillors Deepan Saini, Pradeep Bittu, Khraiti Lal Katna, Monika Katna, Gyan Bansal, along with several dignitaries and local residents. All welcomed the project, describing it as a major milestone for Central Town.
