 Vigilance Bureau Organises Anti-Corruption Seminar at Government College Hoshiarpur

– As part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week being observed under the theme “Vigilance Against Corruption: Our Collective Responsibility,” the Vigilance Bureau Unit, Hoshiarpur, organized an awareness seminar at Government College, Hoshiarpur. The event was chaired by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau Unit, Hoshiarpur, Manideep Singh.Dr. Jatinder Bhattian, District Health Officer, was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering of officials from various departments, faculty members, employees, and students, Dr. Bhattian underscored the importance of integrity, diligence, and commitment in the discharge of official duties.DSP Manideep Singh administered the anti-corruption pledge and elaborated on the Bureau’s procedures for tackling bribery and misconduct. He urged citizens to promptly report any instance where a public servant demands unlawful gratification for official work, adding that the Vigilance Bureau stands ready to assist in apprehending offenders red-handed.Inspector Sakshi Sharma highlighted the modes available for lodging complaints, including the toll-free helpline 1800-1800-1000, the Anti-Corruption Action Line at 95012-00200, and the official website www.vigilancebureau.punjab.gov.in. Expressing gratitude to the college administration and students for their active participation, she called upon all citizens to unite against corruption and uphold fidelity to the nation.Informative pamphlets containing helpline contact details were distributed during the event. Among those present were Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Ajay Basra, Deputy Mass Media Officer Ravinder Jassal, Block Health Educator Rohit Sharma, Assistant Director Dr. Bhupinder Kaur, Dr. Avtar Singh, Food and Civil Supplies Officer Inspector Arvinder Singh Sethi, Dr. Tejvir Singh Dhaliwal, College Principal Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Cheema, Vice Principal Dr. Harjinder Singh, and several officials, faculty members, and students.
