Vidya Mandir School’s Volleyball Team Shines at Zonal Games

— The volleyball team of Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary Model School brought laurels to the institution by securing first place in the Under-19 boys’ category at the Zonal Games organized by the Punjab School Education Department. The event was held at Senior Secondary School, Bagpur Sataur under the supervision of District Education Officer Lalita Arora and Sports Convener Jagjit Singh.
Principal Shobha Kanwar informed that this year, the school's Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 girls’ volleyball teams have also qualified to participate in the upcoming District-Level Games. This marks the first time in the school’s history that four volleyball teams from Vidya Mandir will compete in the District School Games.
School President Anurag Sood and Secretary Dr. Harshvinder Singh Pathania congratulated the players on their achievement. They emphasized the importance of sports in life and encouraged the students to stay away from drugs.
Anurag Sood also expressed gratitude to the coaches—Malkit Kumar and State Awardee R.C. Mehta—for their hard work and dedication in training the players. On this historic victory, special congratulatory messages were also shared by volleyball coaches Chanchal Singh, Ashwini Sharma, and Kuldeep Singh.
On this occasion, Manisha Joshi, Chetna, and Vijay Kanwar were also present.
