The much-awaited Punjabi film Dakuaan Da Munda 3, starring Dev Kharoud, Baani Sandhu, and Hoshiarpur’s very own Drishti Talwar, was officially launched on Friday with a cake-cutting ceremony at Mirage Cineplex, Hoshiarpur.

Drishti Talwar, daughter of well-known social activists Sanjeev Talwar and Neeti Talwar, made her silver screen debut in the film. Her entry on screen was met with resounding applause from the audience, making it a proud moment for Hoshiarpur.

To mark the release of the film’s first show, her parents Sanjeev and Neeti Talwar cut a celebratory cake and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Hoshiarpur for their support. They appealed to the public to continue blessing Drishti on her journey through the challenging world of cinema. They further hoped that just as the people of Hoshiarpur have always supported the Talwar family in the field of social service and politics, they would now also support Drishti in making a name in the film industry through her hard work and dedication.

In response to a question from journalists, Sanjeev Talwar shared that the film’s storyline is deeply rooted in reality. He noted that Dakuaan Da Munda 3 provides a close look at the prevailing conditions in Punjab, showing how some corrupt and self-serving government officials and politicians are enabling the drug trade, which is destroying the dreams of talented and ambitious youth and pushing them towards crime.

He confidently stated that this film sets itself apart from other popular Punjabi movies through its unique subject matter, powerful performances, and exceptional cinematography.
