 Khalsa College Mahilpur Students Honored for Outstanding Sports Achievements

Two students from the second semester of the B.P.Ed. course at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur — Vishwajeet Singh and Sarabjeet Singh — were specially honored by the college principal Dr. Parvinder Singh and faculty for their remarkable achievements in the field of sports.

Notably, Vishwajeet Singh won three medals in the inter-college university fencing competition — a gold and a bronze in the team events, and a silver medal in the individual category. The fencing team of Khalsa College, Mahilpur secured the overall second position in the tournament. Based on these achievements, Vishwajeet has also been selected to participate in the Khelo India University Games.

Similarly, Sarabjeet Singh recently served as a technical referee at the World Cup Kho-Kho Championship held in New Delhi. Previously, he had also officiated as a technical referee in the Khelo India Kho-Kho competition held in Tamil Nadu, as well as at various national and university-level events.

On this occasion, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh congratulated the students on their success and stated that such achievements bring great pride and recognition to the institution at the national level. Present at the event were football coach Harinder Sunny, Prof. Charanjit Singh, Prof. Rishabh, and weightlifter Amandeep Singh.
