 Lecturer Pawan Kumar Sharma to Retire on April 30 After 31 Years and 1 Month of Service

Made Significant Contributions in Education and Social Service

Lecturer Pawan Kumar Sharma, currently posted at Government Senior Secondary School, Gurubishan Puri (Bhawanipur), will retire on April 30 after completing an impressive 31 years and 1 month of service. During his career, he not only made significant contributions to the field of education but also played an active role in social service, establishing a unique identity in the region. He consistently supported underprivileged children in continuing their education.


Born on April 5, 1967, in the village of Jhonowal, Beed area, to Bhagat Ram Sharma and Sheela Devi, Pawan Kumar Sharma completed his primary education at the local government school, where he topped his class. He later pursued a B.Sc. (Non-Medical) from R.K. Arya College, Nawanshahr, a B.Ed. from DAV College, Hoshiarpur, and an M.A. from Panjab University, Chandigarh.


Pawan Kumar Sharma began his career as a Science teacher on April 7, 1994, at Government Senior Secondary School, Beenewal. After being promoted to the post of Lecturer on November 25, 2024, he assumed the responsibility of teaching Punjabi at Government Senior Secondary School, Gurubishan Puri (Bhawanipur). Throughout his career, he was honored three times with appreciation certificates by Education Secretary Krishna Kumar (IAS) for his outstanding services, and once by the Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur. Additionally, he was awarded the "Best Teacher Award" by the In-Service Training Center.


Many of his students have achieved 100% marks in subjects taught by him, notably Science and Punjabi. Beyond academics, Pawan Kumar Sharma served in various capacities with the Beed Welfare Committee, working to resolve community issues and promote local development. As a Co-Convener of "Voice of the People," he organized blood donation camps and, during the COVID-19 pandemic, distributed ration and vegetables door-to-door and provided masks to people in towns and villages.


After completing a spotless 31 years and 1 month of service, a special farewell ceremony will be organized at the school on April 30 in his honor, which will also be attended by prominent figures of the region.
