On October 1, the 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a national level special cleanliness campaign "One Date, One Hour, One Time" will be launched. During this campaign, cleanliness activities will be done in all the villages and cities of the district from 10 am for one hour in which local people and organizations will actively participate. The main objective of the campaign is to create awareness among the general public about cleanliness and ensure participation in creating a clean environment free of waste.

Deputy Commissioner Smt. Komal Mittal (IAS) said that a special campaign of 'one date, one hour, one day' will be launched from 10 am on October 1, 2023 to create a clean environment free of garbage through public participation in villages and cities. During this time, the selected public places will be cleaned with labor and the collected waste will be sent to the nearest waste management unit for management. Under this campaign, all urban local body programs are being organized in the district in which local citizens, public representatives, social-religious-educational institutions, resident welfare association, market association, youth clubs, government-non-government hospitals, hotels, dhabas etc. will do He appealed to the citizens and public representatives that everyone along with their family members should pay homage to the father of the nation with 'Swachchanjali' by donating the labor of cleaning around them.

Deputy Commissioner Smt Smt Komal Mittal (IAS) said that during this time all the activities will be conducted completely single use plastic free. He has appealed to people not to use plastic envelopes and other plastic thermocol cutlery and not to set fire to garbage as they are very dangerous for health and environment. All citizens should participate in making their village-city single-use plastic and waste-free and clean.
